Turnstile: The Never Enough Tour Pt. 2 Review
The Rave - Milwaukee - September 9, 2026

After touring through Asia, Europe and North America through 2025, Baltimore band Turnstile kicked off part two of the Never Enough Tour right in the 414 this September.
The five-piece hardcore band incorporates elements of metal and pop, creating a melodic hardcore-punk fusion. Brendan Yates is vocals, Franz Lyons is bass, Daniel Fang is drums and Meg Mills and Pat McCrory are on guitar.
They have released four studio albums, breaking into the scene with hardcore-punk album Nonstop Feeling (2016), featuring 12 tracks, followed by their sophomore album Time & Space (2018) with 13 tracks. Their breakthrough album Glow On (2021) featured a shift in sound, incorporating more pop and alternative rock sounds.
Their latest album, Never Enough, was released in June of 2025, which helped garner mainstream attention. Turnstile took home two Grammy awards in 2026 for Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance for the single “BIRDS.”
My introduction to Turnstile was the album Never Enough. I was enamoured by the mix of hardcore, punk, rock and pop elements. It tingles your brain in just the right way. Having listened to Never Enough, I was dying to see them perform at Lollapalooza in summer of 2026, but was much too broke to afford a ticket.
My prayers were answered when the band announced they would kick off part two at The Rave in Milwaukee. I had no one else to go with, so I dragged my partner along for the show. Even though she had not really been exposed to Turnstile, as a rock and punk-rock fan, I knew this was a show she would not want to miss.
The show started with a recent favorite, “BIRDS,” off of the latest release. The build up included a black screen while actual bird sounds played before being hit with a bright, six-stripe screen. The crowd did not hesitate to get hype immediately with everyone jumping and moshing during the very first song. Turnstile’s music will do that to you.
Next, the band moved into “Real Thing,” “Endless” and “I Care.” Throughout the whole show, the screen graphics were really simple, but heartwarming. There were two camerapeople walking through the audience to get people on screen moshing, hugging, singing along, thrashing and even showing off their Turnstile tattoos.
When the screens were not showing the audience, a compilation of Turnstile fans (of every age) at past concerts played. The clips show attendees explaining why they love the hardcore scene, what they enjoy about Turnstile’s music and their experiences at a show. These videos were not heavily edited, because it did not have to be. This concert was not just about Turnstile, it was about the fans that create a community.
I really enjoyed watching this love letter to the hardcore scene. It was the group’s way of thanking the fanbase for making the shows what they are, especially being in their 16th year of Turnstile.
The show closed out with “SOLE,” “MAGIC MAN,” and “LOOK OUT FOR ME,” all off the touring album. The encore included “HOLIDAY,” “BLACKOUT,” NEVER ENOUGH,” and “T.L.C (TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION).”
This show really was great. The crowd was absolutely hype the entire time and the band kept the energy up even with calm video breaks inbetween songs. My parter left wanting to listen to more Turnstile, saying it was an amazing show. I am so glad I took the chance to see them live. This is one band I would definitely pay to see again.
I highly recommend listening to Turnstile if you have not. If you’re new to their music, you should start with “Fazed Out,” “Real Thing,” “DON’T PLAY,” “BLACKOUT,” “HOLIDAY” and “SOLE,” just to name a few of my favorites.
